A true mountain wine from start to finish, exotic aromas of blackberries, spiced cedar, Mission figs, plums, dried violets, pipe tobacco, bay leaf, and wet slate are followed by a mid-palate of blackberries, black raspberries, cloves, crushed rocks, and underbrush, and hints of spiced vanilla. The finish is an intoxicating medley of wild berries and fresh acidity, all backed by refined, mineral-laden tannins that highlight the unique soul of this untamed mountain landscape.
