The 2016 Barbera opens with aromas of red cherry and black currant, balanced by lush notes of clove and anise. Soft, smooth tannins are punctuated with energetic acidity on the palate, and the long, complex finish evolves from dried cherry and plum to savory notes of leather and dried tobacco leaves.
