Reviews of 2010-Current Vintages

Reverie’s 2011 Special Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Outstanding Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar: “High-toned, spicy aromas of currant, plum and sassafras. Creamier, deeper and sweeter than the basic cabernet bottlings, but also with lovely floral lift to the mid-palate. In a distinctly feminine style. Nicely dense, aromatic wine with very good length and complex tannins”

Reverie’s 2011 Cabernet Franc

Outstanding Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar: “Aromas of plum and rose petal. Juicy, silky and dry, with a light touch to the flavors of raspberry, spices and rose petal. Nicely fresh and perfumed if on the light side”

Reverie’s 2010 Special Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Outstanding Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar: “Deep red-ruby. Tight nose offers cassis, spices and bitter chocolate, plus a light floral element. Dense, fine-grained and vibrant, with terrific energy to the dark berry and spice flavors. This very youthful, graceful wine finishes with substantial ripe, noble tannins, and excellent persistence. A lovely expression of Diamond Mountain”

Reverie’s 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon

Outstanding Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar: “Good full medium red. High-pitched, vibrant aromas of plum, currant and brown spices. Sweet, plush and seamless, with lovely depth and ripeness to its berry, bitter chocolate and tobacco flavors. Has plenty of middle palate texture and lift. Finishes ripe and long, with serious but sweet tannins. Very nicely balanced cabernet”

Reverie’s 2010 Roussanne

Outstanding - Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar: “Aromas of orange blossom, yellow plum, lichee, honey and licorice. The palate offers an almost glyceral sweetness but this dry, fruit-driven wine has less than a gram per liter of residual sugar. Finishes with a waxy, almost semillon-like quality and a light touch.”

PLEASE NOTE: Reverie chooses to emphasize the narrative remarks from selected wine reviewers rather than emphasizing numerical scores. Reviewers use the term “Outstanding” for wines with a numerical score of 90 or above (from a 100 point scale). Not all reviewers have tasted every wine or every vintage of Reverie’s wines.
