Across the country - Reverie’s Home Wine Dinners have been a big hit. Our customers have proven over and over again that they go “all out for Reverie.” No matter where we travel (and we’ve been to almost every state), we find that our customers are anxious to introduce us to their friends and are excited to host a Reverie event. Each dinner has its own unique “flavor,” but each one has this common theme: good food, fun friends, and, of course, great Reverie Wine. Please read all of the information and policies regarding hosting an event to see if it might be something you want to do.
Pouring Wines & Sample Dinner Menus
How does it work?
During the cold and rainy season, Reverie closes for wine tours. During February, March, and April, we travel around the country and take the “show on the road..” Our specially selected customers host dinner parties at their homes, country clubs, or favorite restaurants, and Reverie is the featured wine. Rather than cooking the meal, typically, a host will use his/her own chef or caterer, and the food is served in course format so everyone stays on the same schedule – please, no buffet-style meals. We ask that you please try to have high quality wine glasses, i.e., very thin, highly breakable, tall, clear, undecorated, and with stems. But, don’t worry; you do not need to have a new glass per person for each new course of food. Of course, we’ll make our own travel arrangements, and a Reverie representative will fly out to the event and pour our wine throughout the dinner (basically, it’s like our traditional wine tour at the vineyard, but instead, it’s in your own home). Since we travel to the event and pour wines at Reverie’s expense, we ask that you strategically invite wine-loving, “wine-buying” types of friends - then, it’s a win/win for everyone. Since we do not distribute our wines around the country, this is a great way to introduce us to your friends. You might be a regular to the Napa area, but it’s not often that you can get 20-40 of your wine-loving friends to come with you. So, Reverie, your favorite little winery on Diamond Mountain, will come to you!
Important Policies Regarding Hosting and/or Canceling a Reverie Home Wine Dinner:
I’m the Host…do I need to purchase wine at my own event?
We appreciate the time, effort, and expense that you put into hosting an event. Reverie is pleased to send our representative and wines to pour throughout your dinner party for you and your guests. But, please remember, we need to have significant sales at each event to recover our costs and also make a profit. This is our Winter/Spring sales program for Reverie. We have substantial travel, hotel, rental car, employee, and wine pouring/shipping costs for each dinner, and must recover these costs through sales. We ask that you strategically invite wine-buying types of guests, and yes, we ask that the hosts make a personal purchase of at least one case of wine at the dinner. This sends an important positive message to guests who will most likely also want to purchase wine and/or join a Wine Club.
What will I be charged if I need to cancel my Reverie Home Wine Dinner?
We understand that sometimes it’s absolutely necessary to cancel an event. The important thing is, if you need to cancel your wine dinner, please contact us as soon as possible. We have many costs associated with your dinner that most likely cannot be recovered. We purchase our airline tickets, hotels, rental cars, and ship out the pouring wines well in advance. Our event calendar and employees’ schedules are based on your decision to host. Other events might not have been scheduled because of our commitment to you. If you cancel your event prior to us processing and/or shipping your pouring wines, we do not ask you for any fees to recover our travel expenses, etc., but, if your pouring wines have already been processed and/or shipped, we do ask you to purchase the wine to help defray some of our costs. We will not charge you for the shipping, and of course, if you are a Club Member, you would get the 15% discounted rate.
